Our group programs offer a supportive community for individuals seeking connection, understanding and growth. Suited for those facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation or relationship issues, our programs provide a safe space to share experiences, gain coping strategies, and forge meaningful connections.

DBT Skills group therapy

The DBT informed skills group therapy program will focus on teaching individuals mindfulness and distress tolerance skills to help better manage distressing emotions and make better choices.

Cool Kids® group therapy

Cool Kids® is a family-based treatment program that provides children and parents with skills and strategies to help children manage their anxiety.

Online DBT Skills group

The 12-week online DBT Skills Group is designed for convenience and connection, our online format allows you to participate from anywhere while engaging in meaningful discussions and activities. In this group you will learn mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Study Without Stress group

Study Without Stress is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program that helps students in Years 11 and 12 to learn practical strategies to build their confidence in managing stress as they navigate their final school years.

Group Therapy for Kids

Group therapy for children is a structured and supportive environment where young individuals come together in a small group to address various emotional and behavioral challenges. Led by a trained therapist, these sessions offer a unique opportunity for children to interact with peers who may be facing similar issues. Through group discussions, activities, and exercises, children learn essential social and emotional skills, including communication, empathy, and problem-solving. Group therapy can be particularly effective for issues like social anxiety, bullying, grief, and emotional regulation. It provides a safe space for children to express themselves, gain insights, and build confidence while receiving support from both the therapist and their peers.

Sydney Psych Hub offers a number of group therapy programs to support mental and emotional wellbeing. Group therapy can either be used as a stand alone treatment, or integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan that also includes individual therapy and other supports.
